We got up early to hiked with her for miles and never got tired of the conversation ... we dined with her and always enjoyed her laughter ... and sang with her and the boys who always lifted our spirits ... but at end of the day ... it was around the campfires where we sang, laughed, told our stories, and built those memories to last a lifetime. One last time ... Day is done, Gone the sun, From the lake, from the hills, from the sky. All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh.
This is such sad news. Watching her with the Little City Scouts was the best. Her caring and giving spirit shined for everyone to see. She will be missed by all.
Dorothy, you were such an inspiration to both of us and we learned so much from you. You were truly a remarkable woman who lived life to the fullest and left the world a much better place. You will be sorely missed by so many.
Brian R. Burch (Past Scoutmaster of Troop 457 - Little City)
Those of us who know you, who have camped under Gods stars with you, will remember always a lady who silently lived a life of love. As a man who's life has been shaped by your giving and lust for Scouts and Scouting I have tears for the memories we shared together. As you walk up the trail to live eternally watching over others I am strengthened by the wonderful thought that someday we will meet again.
She was a one of a kind lady. She touched my life as a teenager and adult in som many way. My god keep her close to his heart. My prayers to her family

Dorothy,
There can never be sufficient words said, praises sung, acknowledgements made, that can begin to capture the amazing, wonderful impact you had on us all.
The Scouts and Troop 457 in particular benefited and will continue to benefit from your remarkable life. You lifted all of us up.
Thank you Dorothy for what you did for T457 and our son. Missing you.
Dorothy was truly an inspiration. Through her work with Little City, Camp Napowan and the Boy Scouts of America, she has shown me what it means to be a Scout. I will now cherish the old Napowan T-shirts she gave me as a gift more so than I already do. I will never forget you
