Lecturer for the Lyric Opera of Chicago for 43 years. Teacher of opera appreciation at Harold Washington, Truman and Wright colleges. Guest lecturer for the San Francisco Opera Company and Director of Education for Lincoln Opera. Long time member of the League of Women Voters, Drake University Alumni Association, Chicago Herpetological Society (Snakes Alive), Tough Love International and the National Rifle Association (light rifle champion).
