We met Bella a long time ago, in the hospitable house of our friends, in Odessa. In Chicago, we met again, during classes at Truman College. Bella, like me, didn't have a computer at home, and we stayedafter class to practice and do our homework. There was a schoolgirl in my class, and she was helping me after class. She taught me not to be afraid to press buttons - no matter what happened! I learned it well and shared all the findings with Bella. Once I turned to Bella for advice on her specialty - I wanted to help my friend V. because of her psychological problems. Bella delved into my explanations about the situation, asked questions from which I realized how deeply she owned the subject. In the end Bella was forced to say that V. can not get out of this situation without the help of medications. What I knew, V. didn't want to hear. Alas... Then Bella and I didn't communicate much, living far from each other. The last time we met at a celebration of someone's birthday in a restaurant. Bella was recovering after hip surgery, which was not easy. But she was cheerful and wonderfully danced. And such, active, ready to come to the rescue and cheerful I will remember her! Katya

Dearest! Please accept our deepest condolences for the heavy loss. In these difficult days we are with you with all our souls. Bella, like her name, was a wonderful person: bright, decent and intelligent, sympathetic, cheerful, kind and able to be grateful. She loved and valued life and always took an active position in it. She loved and appreciated America and wanted to be useful to the country. She was an example to all of us. We thought of her a member of our family. We'll never forget her. Boris, Shura, Polina, Anya and Irochka.

A rare person who helped many people, some she knew, some she didn't. People traveled long distances to see her and Bella was able to change their lives after other physicians said there was no hope. An innovator with immense ability to understand her patients, friends and family pains. I still have not met a person who earned love and life long, deep appreciation from numerous people, from all walks of life, too many people to mention here. She will always live in their hearts and minds for generations to come.
