Obituary for Beverly C. Felman (Friedman)

FELMAN, BEVERLY

On April 22, 2023, Beverly Felman got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 78 years old. Those who knew her would say she was a kind, caring, loyal friend, and a loving person. People often commented on how they loved her curly, fire engine red hair.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mickey. They lived in Skokie, IL for 39 years before retiring to Arizona. Beverly made their house a home where everyone was welcome. Friends and family often gathered at her house for holidays and family dinners. She put out quite a spread including her famous spinach dip.
Beverly is also survived by her two beloved children, Ilene Harris and Don Felman. She thought of her son-in-law, Steve Harris, and her daughter-in-law, Tish Felman, as her own children. Beverly loved and adored her grandchildren, Isabella, Allison, Nico, Dominic, and Gabby. She was fortunate to have a close relationship with her sister Betty Friedman Lerner, nephew Scott (Maya) Friedman, niece Lisa Friedman and great niece Indigo. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents the late Ben and the late Mary (Honey) Friedman.
She enjoyed working in advertising before becoming a stay-at-home mom. After her kids went off to college, she became the office manager of an eye doctor’s office. Her kids loved when she made up Wanda the Witch stories and planned amazing, themed birthday parties. Beverly loved to travel over summer vacations. The family often drove to Canada, Nippersink, WI, and Lake Goshorn, MI.
She had a lively time with her grandchildren playing four square, taking them to Walker Brothers, shopping at Justice, and telling stories about the infamous Miss Moose. It always made Beverly laugh when she caught her grandchildren cheating red handed while playing cards. She always enjoyed their time together. When she wasn’t with her grandchildren, Beverly could often be found winning at cards or Rummikub.
Beverly struggled for years with illness and Alzheimer’s and although she lost the battle, she never stopped fighting and never stopped loving. Her family meant everything to her. Just because she is no longer here, doesn’t mean she lost her fight. Beverly leaves behind many friends and family and we hope they will remember the good times before her illness.
