My memories of interacting with Carolyn and Harry always make me smile. As with Harry, Carolyn will be missed and remembered fondly. I send my condolences to the Shepard and Troy families.
My earliest memories of Aunt Carolyn were how whenever she and Uncle Harry would come visit us at Grandma Sharon’s house, they would always bring a small toy for us kids. So obviously I loved her from the beginning ;)! As an adult, I really admired her wonderful happy attitude and graciousness, and how she was always in good spirits and appreciative of really small things. She was very interested and curious in what people were up to, and had an amazing memory for what was going on with the family. I feel very lucky to have known her!
Larry & I have so many wonderful memories of times we've shared with you & Uncle Harry.
I will always remember your kindnesses , generosity and enthusiasm for life & love of
family. We will miss you ,Aunt Carolyn, but you will be in our hearts always.
My mother-in-law was always very generous and welcoming to me, and very appreciative for anything done for her. She brought great pleasure and love to my children and grandchildren. It was obvious how much she meant to my kids, and that their lives were so much richer because they had such a wonderful grandma. For this, I cannot thank her enough, and I will remember her with great love and fondness.
I meant to say "selfishly missed" because I understand Lauren's feelings, as to wanting Carolyn to have peace. To you, her family and friends I am sorry for your loss.
I met Carolyn in recent years through my father, Burt Greenberg. I was fortunate to visit with her and talk to her on the phone on several occasions. She was such a warm and friendly woman, who seemed to sparkle like a diamond. And she was a wonderful friend to my father, who she kept in touch with, even as his dementia worsened, and in spite of her own health issues. To me she was an angel. She touched my family with her kindness and caring. Selfishly I say she will be missed.
When we called, we hope that Aunt Carolyn enjoyed talking to us as much as we enjoyed talking to her. She was always so full of joy and happiness with an amazing and consistently positive attitude. Even in her 90's there was an element of the little girl in her that would come out --we always felt better having spoken with her and will very much miss those chats.
Justina and Carolyn would talk at length about little things such as the garden, flowers, fairies, and also about the bigger things like life & death --we seemed to be pretty much always on the same page. More often than not, Carolyn was like sunshine on a cloudy day. She will be missed.
