Charlene Louis, nee Segal, age 89. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Louis; devoted mother of Lisa (Larry) Katz and Beth (Jeff) Chwal; cherished grandmother of Marlee Katz (fiancé Justin Snow). Ilana Katz (partner Ilan Ben-Brith) and Michael Chwal; dear sister of the late Lois Segal and the late Alan (Joni) Segal. She was a reporter for the Skokie Life with her own weekly column Charlene felt that her column helped advocate for positive changes in her community. She also wrote about the trials and tribulations in her daily family life which were a fan favorite. Private family funeral will take place Friday May 27th at 1:30 PM, however friends are welcome to view the funeral on Charlene’s webpage on www.mitzvahfunerals.com live, or any time after the funeral.
