Until my retirement this year, I was a social worker at Westminster Place for 15 years. Over that time I worked with hundreds of coworkers in all departments. In my opinion, Debbie Seiller represented the best of us, and the best of what Westminster Place had to offer the residents we served. She was kind and open hearted toward everyone who was lucky enough to find themselves in her presence. She was quick to smile, listen to others, and pitch in wherever help was needed. We worked pretty closely and I never once heard her speak negatively about anyone or anything- including her experience of her illness. She was one of the strongest people I’ve ever known. I am so grateful for the ways she inspires me to be better than I am. Every once in awhile we find a giant walking amongst us. Debbie Seller was one of those people. Thank you, Debbie.

Luckily and happily, I have had the pleasure of being Debbie’s neighbor for 20 years. She was the most wonderful, sweet, and loving friend. I still remember how excited she was about going on her “blind date “ with Dave! They were the most darling and loving couple! Their life always involved their adorable Ace and Payton. Debbie will always be a “shining star” in the hearts of so many people! Debbie made such a positive difference to many! I miss her dearly, and I know Dave
will continue her beautiful legacy in the future!
With Deepest Sympathy and Love to her family,
Jill Kainu

I wish to extend my condolences again to Dave and the entire family. I was blessed to work with Deb at Evanston Hospital where I met her over 20 yrs ago. Then I started working occasionally at Westminster Place and would get a chance see Deb and we'd catch up about work, mutual friends and other things. She was always so warm and calm. And she truly loved her job at WP! I worked there yesterday and some co-workers and I shared fond memories. It was so nice to see all the tributes posted. I will miss her dearly. Rest well, Deb.

What a privilege it was to know this woman, and how sad I am that she is gone. Debbie fought a good fight -- for as long as she could. It must have been exhausting, but you'd never know it when she was at work. She was a kind and compassionate person; a joy to know and to work with. I will miss her and her little dogs. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband and family; I hope they have many wonderful memories of this very special person.
