I have considered Fred a true friend and mentor over the past 25 years. What I remember most was his great spirit, corny jokes, fantastic smile and the way he enjoyed a good discussion/argument. Fred embodied the idea that you could disagree about issues and not make them personal. The greatest thing about Fred is that he truly cared about people and that always shone through whatever he was involved with. I will miss Fred, but will think of him often. bg
