Gershon Hammer 87, husband of the late Carole nee Berkley. Loving father of Steven Hammer and the late Lori Hammer. Cherished grandfather of PJ, Hannah, Molly, Michael Hammer and Lindsey Wagner and the late Jeremy Wagner. Devoted brother of Bernie and the late Sherwin Hammer. Dear son of the late Philip and Eva Hammer. Gersh ran an auto insurance carpool in Bartlett for many years and an auto wrecking company on the south side of Chicago before that. He always enjoyed talking with people and though officially retired, opened an antique store on Belmont just to do that. He will be missed. Graveside services Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:30 AM CST at Westlawn Cemetery (Poppy Section), 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge. Family and friends who will not attend the services live, can view the services at that time or any time after at www.MitzvahFunerals.com.
