Irving Jacobs, age 102, Beloved husband for 71 years to the late Lorraine S. Jacobs, nee Henikoff; cherished father of Charlotte (Terry) Michels and Jerry (Joann) Jacobs. Cherished grandfather of David (Elaine) Fishman, Ronald (Laura) Fishman, Lisa Fishman, Kenny Jacobs and Danny (Erin) Jacobs & great-grandchildren Kaila, Katana, Joey, Steven, Marissa, Elizabeth, Drew and Marley; devoted son of the late Meyer and Rose Jacobs; dear brother of the late Sade (Joe) Newman, Maury (Jessie), Jack (Hilda) and Bob (Edith) Jacobs; fond uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Army Veteran of WWII-European Theater. He fought in the Battle of Normandy, was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Graveside services Monday 11:30 AM at Waldheim Cemetery, First Krinker Aid Society, 1800 South Harlem Ave, North Riverside. The funeral will be officiated by his great-nephew, Rabbi Irwin Keller.
