Marc Michaelson, 91, exceptional husband to June, passed at home January 11, 2021. Loving Father of David (Annette) and Grant (Mary), Grandfather of Daniel (Quinn), Sarah (John), Nellie and Matthew. Family was paramount to Marc, being an uncle & cousin to many, but especially his niece, Sherry & nephews, Bret & Tedd. Marc began his career as copy boy at the Chicago American, later becoming sports editor & eventually travel writer. This led to more travel, PR & communications work with the Chicago Tourism Bureau & United Airlines. He traveled extensively to 100+ countries, but loved Chicago & was its best tour guide. Upon retirement, Marc was active in Niles Township, the North Shore Senior Center & Temple Judea. He restored his beloved 1931 Model A and lunched weekly with fellow antique car lovers. Marc was always ready with a story about the “BEST” things. And now, he is Besting in Peace with his beloved June!
