Obituary for Mark Berman
Mark Berman, age 64. Beloved son of Bill and Marcia Berman. Loving father of Michaela,
Sam and Leah Berman. Cherished brother of Matt Berman, Jim (Kimmie) Berman,and
Margie (Martin) Rambusch. Adored uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mark grew up in Highland Park, IL and spent most of his childhood summers up at Lake Beulah in WI.
During his childhood years he found his lifelong love of all sports, especially soccer, sailing, and racquet
ball, and his lifelong love for the water, especially Lake Beulah. He graduated from Bradley University,
where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.
After graduating, he went on to have an illustrious career in sales, spanning across the country
from Minneapolis to San Diego to Chicago. He returned to Chicago to raise his family in Glencoe, IL,
devoting everything to them. He loved to cook and listen to music in his free time. He also loved animals
and watches.
Most important to Mark were the people in his life along every step of the way. He created lifelong
friends from his childhood, college, fraternity, career, neighbors, and Lake Beulah. He was a caring friend
to all, created nicknames for many, and had a great sense of humor. His three children were his greatest
pride and joy, and he let everyone know it.
