Obituary for Mitchell Eric Brachman
Mitchell Eric Brachman, 69, of Conroe, TX passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2023. Mitch was born November 11, 1953, in Chicago, IL. Devoted son to Ann Penner, nee Neistein and the late Julius Brachman; loving brother of Sandra (Andrew) Remson and Steven (Mara) Brachman; dear stepson of Rachel Brachman, nee Raffe and the late Martin Penner; fond uncle of, Leland (Rebecca) Remson, Hillary (Sairam) Pathi, Ian (Katri) Remson and Cole Brachman. Special thanks to compassionate caregiver Alice McCowan. Mitch attended Niles North High School in Skokie, IL and received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Illinois, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and an M.S. in Structural Engineering from M.I.T. Mitch worked for the City of Louisville, KY and the Federal Dept. of Transportation in Boston, MA, before relocating to Evanston, IL in 1986. Mitch worked in various positions in the Chicago area before retiring and moving to Conroe, TX in 2020, to be closer to his family. Those who were close to Mitch always will remember his love of family and food, as well as his tremendous dry sense of humor. He truly was a joy to be around.
