Barbara and Steve Kessler would like to share the following comments and sentiments about our dear cousin Seymour to offer comfort to his family. We will always cherish our memories of the many times together we fortunately had with Seymour and Toby. We so appreciate that through Seymour's wonderful commitment to family, the Chicago and New York branches of the Kessler family were finally united after so many years of being apart. It must have been beshert ( meant to be) that in 1985 Seymour and I first became aware of each other as cousins and family so unexpectedly. For us, Seymour represents the essence of warmth, kindness, friendliness, sweetness and joy. Joy in our families being united. Joy that led to our two families immediately ,upon discovering each other, traveling to be together as a start of fortunately many happy times together whether in Wilmette, Northbrook, Skokie, Highland Park, Chicago, Delray Beach, Scarsdale or New York. We were always welcome in their home in Wilmette, Northbrook or Delray Beach. Seymour was always the gracious and warm host. It was wonderful that Seymour and Toby purchased a home in Delray Beach to live near my parents, Harry and Rose Kessler and my Aunt Mary, Harry's sister. Barbara and I are so fortunate that our lives were truly enriched by getting to know and love Seymour and Toby and their shared joy in having family come together. Just last week, I am so grateful that I called Seymour and had a long conversation with him, wishing that he and Toby have a most happy and sweet New Year. Seymour was in very good spirits. He reaffirmed during our call what he had been telling me for many years, that he so appreciated the love and support he had from Mark and Ira. He appreciated Mark escorting him to various doctor visits. He took so much pleasure in his joy with Mark and Ira and their families. Barbara and I offer to you, Mark and Ira and your families, our deepest hope that you can be comforted in knowing Seymour led a wonderful, happy life, guided by his strong love for Toby and his family. He had that rare contentment in embracing his family. We will always cherish the love and family friendship we had with Seymour. He will always be with us. Fondly, Steve & Barbara Kessler.
