Steven "Sonny" Simkin, age 83.  Beloved husband of Sheila nee Monarch for (45 wonderful and exciting years in 2023). Devoted and loving father of Michael (Paula) Comm, Tracie Simkin, Joel Comm, Robyn (Michael) Costantini and Jamie (Larry) Malitz. Adored grandfather of Jordan Benker, Joshua (Susie) Comm, Zachary Comm, Lexi (Oscar Joyo) Costantini, Nicholas Costantini, Sarah Comm, Jenna Comm, Dani Malitz and David Malitz. Fond brother of Kathy (Ron Muller), the late Miriam and Mickey Rosenstein Mack, the late Joan Schack, the late Paula Balko, the late Louise Stein, the late Michael (Merle) Simkin. Uncle and great uncle of many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Friday July 7th, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Temple Beth-El, 3610 Dundee Road, Northbrook, IL 60062 Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to JDRF or a charity of your choice.
