Fred Irwin Benjamin, age 76, beloved husband of Dorothea (Dottie). Adoring father of Julie (Michael) Cohen, Corey (Jonna) Benjamin and Jeffrey Benjamin. Caring stepfather of Ronald (Julie) Kaplan and Marianne (Andrew) Braverman. Loving “Peepaw” of Max, Eliza, Drew, Tess, Lucas, Lillian and Madeline. Loving brother of Marc (Susan) Benjamin. Fought pancreatic cancer with courage and tenacity. Founding partner of the law firm-Benjamin & Shapiro. Officer of International Speed Skating (ISU), Disciplinary Commission. Past President of United States Speed Skating. Olympic starter in the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. Has left many valued friends worldwide. Graveside services Monday 10 AM at Rosehill Cemetery (Section U), 5800 N. Ravenswood, Chicago.
