I am Mindy's long time childhood best friend and knew her mom for years. At the shiva, watching pictures of Sandy, I was struck on how many hair styles Sandy wore. That was really cool to see. I was telling Mindy that one thing that I remember most about Sandy was about how she would often say, "Well, go play." We agreed that she liked to use the word "well" a lot in of her sentences. She was very sweet and nice to me and it was a blessing that she knew sign language to make communication so easy. Sandy and my mom, Gabrielle fought for sign language in school, not only that but to learn the language too which many parents don't do was about the best thing they ever did together to support education for Mindy and I. I can't emphasize enough what a big, huge difference/impact they had made in our lives. I also remember the above ground pool in the backyard and what good times we had swimming. It is sad to lose a great lady, wife and mom and I will miss you, Sandy.
