Mrs Steinberg was the mother of my bestfriend in Lincolnwood, Stacey. I remember her kindness & attention To me on the days I would sleep over at Steinbergs. She would make Campbell’s Tomato soup For me & it always tasted so good when she made it! And then one day when I watched her make it I realized she was diluting the soup w-only half a can of water!! I Also loved when she made the rice with the buillion cube in it, it tasted so good! And because she used Good Seasons Italian dressing, I went home & asked my parents to please get it and now 37 yrs. later, my family still eats it!! She was very health conscious; sometimes when I would go over she would have a pot on the stove of her special veggie weight watchers soup. She was a force for good, and a force of nature! You could tell how much she loved her hubby; her daughters Dawn & Stacey; her sister, and her mom. She spent almost all of her time w/them. I am grateful to have known her on this Earth, & for her having helped to make my friend Stacey the wonderful person She is, which in turn blessed my life! I know her family misses her but now she is w/Mr Steinberg, & her parents, & all the people that she knew & loved in this life that have gone thru that portal we call Death. Generations will rise up & call her blessed! Death is not the end, it is only a temporary separation until we meet again. Until then, Rest In Peace Mrs Steinberg, and thank you for all the wonderful memories!

Dawn and Stacy,
I am so sorry for your loss. You both spoke so beautifully at the funeral. I am so sorry to hear that the last several years and especially the last few months were so hard for you and kept you apart. My mother loved the "Always 39" in her obituary and said she wants that in hers when the time comes. In many ways they were a lot alike. My mother also said it was the end of an era with your mother gone. I know she has fond memories of her cousins from when they were kids and starting to raise families. May your memories of Elaine get you through this difficult time. I wish you peace.
