Irina and I worked together at Taft high school. Irina was always very kind to me and very encouraging. She also made a special effort to stay in touch with me after I left the job and during my fight with breast cancer. I will truly miss her smile.

To Daniil and Family,
Irina and I were work colleagues at Gan Shalom, Temple Sholom, Chicago, in the early 1990s. We quickly became friends, trying out new ideas in our classroom ! She was a bright woman and a good teacher. And how she loved her family!
How fortunate for me that I was brought into her circle of love and support!
Hold fast to wonderful memories and to the gift of her love. It will never diminish.
May she rest in peace.

Dear All of you - Irisha's Family,
Even though I kinda knew that it's coming but still was hoping for the miracle...
Irisha was ( it's so hard to say was) such a great great friend- always eager to help, full of life energy, always concern for
so many of us (quite often forgetting about herself), with so many different interests ,
and... staying very brave I'm sure to the last minute...
And what a great grandma she is - no I can't say was - you guys I do know will still "talk" to her , write her a virtual (like almost everything nowadays) letters, ask her for advice - and just grow up to be a very good persons that your grandma always be proud of you always...
I guess I have to stop here and say good buy to my dear friend Irishka...

Irina was an important person. She was the spark that urged us, three other ESL teachers, to continue to meet for lunch and share our lives even after two of us had retired. She gave her energy, unique viewpoints, and good heart to all of us. She will be so missed. My condolences to all of her family, of which she was so proud.

We were neighbors with Veronica and her business, Mosaic Therapy. I was always happy to see Irina. She was always lovely to me, but I know her best from her beautiful family who loved her. My son, Nicholas knew Irina better than I did. She spoke with him for hours about all kinds of things: history, politics, sociology. She was so generous with her time, so kind, so wise. Nick loved their conversations. We were blessed to have her touch our lives, and we offer our gratitude and condolences to her family.
