Rose K.Sacks passed away on January 2nd, 2015. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Sacks, and her dear and devoted companion of later years, Guy L. Leefe. She is survived by her son, Dr. Joel G. Sacks (Cynthia); three grandchildren, Charles D. Sacks (Kristina), Dr. David F. Sacks (Kristen), and Martha J. Sacks; three great grandchildren; and her devoted nieces, Evelyn Stearns (Robert) and Molly Skebelsky. Rose attended Northwestern University, was a graduate of the Chicago College of Music, and was a four-year “Silver Fox” at Florida International University in Miami. She was an avid student of international relations and middle eastern affairs. She was an accomplished pianist and was an organizer of the First Intergenerational Orchestra in Hollywood, FL. She firmly believed that young musical talent should be given the opportunity to play with experienced and professional musicians and worked diligently toward that end.
