Shonie Stein, nee Port, passed away on May 9, 2011 at age 88. Beloved wife of the late Morris Stein. Loving mother of Edward Stein (Andrea) and the late Louise Stein. Proud grandmother of Michael Stein (Mamiko) and Todd Stein. She was born to Louis and Minnie Port on November 16, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. She survived four other siblings – Ida, Rose, Ann and Morris. A private graveside service was held. Shonie was loved by her family and by everyone she met. She showed consideration, kindness and hospitality to friends and strangers alike. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed music and dancing, and she loved the color purple.
