Steve had great resolve. Playing 12 inch as he did for so many years and at the high level of competition, clearly showed who he was. Although quiet on the outside he was anything but on the inside. We met and became good friends in college. He had a nick name for everyone as I'm sure all who are reading this can attest to. The irony was we could never hang one on him.I feel fortunate I had the opportunity to see him in the hospital on the 28th. Despite his pain we had a good time reminiscing and exchanging old stories.
