Condolence From: Nancy Bard
Condolence: I have wonderful memories associated with my Uncle Maurie . . . words can't express my thoughts or feelings now, or clear the lump in my throat as I write. As a child, I watched the front door and scanned faces around the house at family occasions to make sure Maurie and Edie were there. Visiting the Schneider home in Lincolnwood was a treat. I remember sitting around the dining room table and talking to people in different rooms of their house - never a lull in conversation, always interesting news or stories to hear. I was in awe of this man in our family who actually flew an airplane! My bat mitzvah was especially meaningful with them present. And later, while learning about stocks/commodities in school, I learned that my uncle actually had a seat on the exchange. Most recently, at one of the Yager bar mitzvahs, it was lovely hearing the story of Maurie and Edie's courtship . . . one never tires of a love story. To immediate family: he will be missed, and I hope family, friends, and those special stories will help us all through this difficult time.

Condolence: To all of the Schneider family:

We were very sad at learning the news of Maurie's passing. I have been associated with the Schneider family in one capacity or another since 1971 and have many great memories of those years. He was a great man and it was a privilege to know him and learn from him. Our condolences to all.

Condolence: Dear Schneider's,

My heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your beloved Maurie.

It was an honor and a true pleasure to know him. He was the best ambassador the CME ever had. His sense of humor on the trading floor had us bending over with laughter and tears of joy.

I cleared his and his customer's business in the 1990's at RB&H and got to know him in such a positive way that he help make me a better broker and person. He took time out of his vacation in Las Vegas to take my wife and I too lunch. Lunch was great but I was scared riding with him in that Big Caddy down the Strip!!!

Rest in Peace my friend.

Condolence: So long,Maurie,
You'll be missed here at the CME. It will not be the same without you.

I was honored to know you ,and also be of help to you through the years.Like i told you years ago, even though we were not related, I still thought of you as kind of an uncle to me.

Hopefully our paths will cross in a better place, where we can laugh and talk of the old days.

Larry Michalik
