Best Friend
Of course I have many fond memories of Uncle Maurie He was affectionately known to his nieces and nephews by his childhood nickname "Snooky" - which he HATED. Needless to say, when we grew up, we NEVER called him by that nickname.
My most endearing memory is what he told me when my dad (Maurie's oldest brother, Herman) passed away. He said this about my dad - "He was my best friend. I really mean that."
